For my sound installation I made the christmas lights synchronized to music on your Ipod or cell phone. I had several people use their Ipods and phones with their music. They said they really liked it and wanted one of those. I used a box called Light Show, it has the controls in there and has a total of 6 channels. We only had 5 lights so we didnn't go all out, but overall I am very happy with this project.

Ugggggh I'm SO mad I didn't get to see this baby in action! I absolutely love love LOVE your concept and devotion to the project (what, over $100 invested?)! I'm really glad you were able to install it successfully and not get any negative reprecussions from the "law" :P I would actually love to hear the details of exactly what you purchased because I would love to install this outside my house for the holiday season! :D But I digress. Hopefully you can install it again in the future in another location on campus. Keep me posted on possible future installation repeats!

I like the idea for your project mainly because it is so interractive. I think that getting others involved is a good way to make a project more successful. I didn't get to see it in person but I have seen installations like this with lights. The difference though is that i've only seen them at Christmas and non Christmas music would have been a new experience.I am sorry that the part cost so much but I think that it was overall a successful project. Well done.

I liked the fact that your piece was interactive. I wish I could have seen it in person because it looked so cool. From what I saw in the video the lights definitely went with the music. Good job

I had no idea that the device you used was now commercialized because of the popularity from those videos on youtube. Regardless, I enjoyed watching the videos of your project in action I applaud you for hanging all those lights up. I would like for this to be a more permanent-temporary installment during December especially. That'd be awesome. Great project idea and execution!

I really think you should try to speak with ASU about making the installation permanent! Seriously, I really liked it and it spread so much joy! It reminded me of the holidays and I totally think that if you plan on permanently installing it you would find that the students would always hang out around that fountain area! Haha. You should definitely go for it, and let me know if you do! Again, great job!

I really wish I could have seen this in person, it looks amazing! I like that the observer was able to pick their own music too. I think it would make a really good permanent installment piece too!

I love Christmas and I like that you brought it early to campus! I have seen these lights before from a movie and wished I could have experienced this in person! I think its great that your project was one of the few interactive projects done. I definitely want to invest in some of these lights for my house!!

I am so angry that I had class during this, it looks like it went really well, and I am glad it was such a hit. It is such a shame it couldn't stay up (what harm would it have done? really?). It is really obvious that you were passionate about this project and I loved what that added to your work.

I actually saw this piece in person without actually knowing what it was, and when i got home I saw your email and then realized that it was your piece that I had viewed. Being a person just walking by, I was a little confused as to why christmas lights were dancing around to Chris Brown but after hearing about it, I now understood. Technology really is amazing this day, and your piece was a great way to get everyone involved in art without actually doing art.

I am also upset that I didn't get to see this in action. I had no idea you could buy this and it would have been fun to bring people together with sound and vision, where the two work together so dizzyingly. Normally, it's visuals that steal the show, but without the audio, this piece would only be half as stimulating!

This was a simple, fun idea and I'm really glad you pursued it! Everyone is fond of music, so this is a great way to get people to interact.
