When I was growing up Myspace was a huge deal and you had to post pictures all the time. I did not realize how much I liked taking photos while I was obsessed with Myspace, but my junior year in high school I had an into to photography class with film. It dawned on me how much I had a passion for this art. Everywhere I went I would have my point and shoot camera with me hanging on my wrist. If I noticed a great image I would shoot it, or if someone asked to take photos of them I would go for it. The steps that lead me up to this point has definately been a learning experience. Critiquing images, looking at the details in the foreground and background. I have what you call the photographers eye, everywhere I go I see an image. No matter where I am I see a great image and try to replicate it later when I have my camera on me. I am here at ASU to try to improve my work and keep moving forward in the path that I have chosen. Most of my work is Landscapes, but recently I have been taking quite a few portraits for people. I am not sure where I would like to go with photography yet, but I am hoping ASU will help me figure out which area I would be best in. Since I love to take landscape images I believe that Ansel Adams is one of the artists that have influenced me. The landscape imagery he has shot has told many stories and inspired me to go out there to get the best image. Either in rain or shine I will be out there with my camera shooting either portraits or landscape photos. Here's a link of Ansel Adams work. http://www.anseladams.com/
