Frankly when it comes to propaganda posters I either find gruesome or comedic ones and most of them happened to promote war or miniscule unimportant things in life that I do not care about. This one was one of the few that slightly stood out and it was because it did not seem to be promoting war to me; more like the opposite. It seemed to be saying that war is toxic, which I liked. I could be entirely wrong but then again, isn't everything up to our own interpretation? At least I think so. His limited color pallet falls into the typical war poster and so it does not starkly stand out in that way. I like how he has improved upon the traditional crisp cut lines by adding more detail to the outlines of the planes and the face mask. All in all, it is not a bad piece. I do not know if it will be universally liked but I think that it is one to draw attention.
