Performance artists, to me, range from plays in the theater to things on the street. I was looking at ideas and decided to do a street artist. David Engel is a Living Statue. He's been doing this since 1988 and has covered a range of subjects such as: Cesar Augustus, The Thinker, Bacchus God of Wine, The Discus thrower, The Heisman Trophy, The Oscar Statuette and others. The thing that I like about living statues is that they are just that, living. Talk about looking realistic. The greatest thing of all though is that they can move and joke around with the viewers and make the experience enjoyable.
So, someone captured a video of him doing one of his sculptures and the reactions that he gets crack me up. And they obviously crack up the camera man too with how he repeats some reactions. It's a video to see. (just a note, I watched it on mute so i have no idea what they are saying) --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOD9JNY-1U8
