Herbert F. Lubalin (1918-19810 was a famous American graphic designer. He began at the age of 17 and was always “fascinated by the look and sound of words”. After he was eventually fired from his job he later began working in advertising. He worked a lot with Ralph Ginzburg with his magazine: Eros, Fact, and Avant Garde. He designed his own typeface, which he called ITC Avant Garde. Later he started his own firm that he called Herb Lubalin, Inc in 1964. His work is beautiful it just looks so elegant and it’s all so different.
